First Presbyterian Church of Hammond (FPCH) hosts two concerts for the community each year, one each in the spring and fall. Musicians perform as soloists and in a variety of ensembles. In recent years we have had solo pieces for organ, piano, violin, trumpet, guitar and saxophone, among others. Ensembles have included a brass quintet and a trio with harp, flute, and violin. The programs feature mostly classical pieces, with some arrangements of popular songs added to the mix.
After the concert, guests are invited to stay for refreshments, conversation and fellowship. There is no charge for the concerts, although packaged food or money donations are accepted and passed on to a local charities.
