We worship at 10:00 AM every Sunday, in an atmosphere where a worshiper can feel God’s presence, hear God’s Word, and renew their commitment to live in response to that Word. If you worship with us, you will hear preaching that both encourages and challenges, a message building a bridge between the gospel story and our lives in today’s world. You’ll sing your praise to God and your commitment to serve God. You’ll join us in praying for each other and for the world around us. And you’ll find yourself in a place where people care for each other and enjoy being together.
At First Presbyterian, we are ordinary folks who happen to worship in a beautiful sanctuary. We are blessed with a top-notch pipe organ and organist, and with quality musicians who join us about once monthly to enrich our worship. (Look elsewhere on this website for information about the piano-violin duo called Stringsong.)
We do our best to be welcoming people. By heritage we are Presbyterian. It’s a great Christian tradition to be part of . . . but we welcome you, whatever your background may be. We share in Holy Communion about ten times a year . . . and if you’re trying to be faithful to Jesus and his ways, there’s a place for you at his table. Some of us show up for church in casual attire; others dress a bit more formally . . . Please dress in whatever way seems fitting to you. Find out for yourself about our welcome: stay for Coffee Hour, which begins at about 11:00 AM, following worship.
Are you bringing children? Your children are welcome to stay with you during worship. Nursery care and Sunday School (for children in grade school) are also available, if that is your preference.
Come to worship God, and get to know us as you do!
